This is an early version of projection mapping exhibited by AVFX. The exhibit was designed by Group Delphi (now Sparks) for a show in Washington, DC. The 12-foot sphere was fabricated in two sections and assembled onsite. AVFX worked closely with the presentation designers to create a seamless image blending eight projectors. The globe stood still while the graphics appeared to glide across the surface. This project was a precursor to many complex designs we have since executed over the years.
