The Joint Statistical Meetings (JSM) is a professional conference for statisticians held every year since 1840. This year JSM attracted more than 6,500 attendees from 50+ countries.

Together, our Boston and Denver teams produced the general session, managed 36 breakout rooms, and also managed internet services for the conference. As a result, we were able to prioritize needs and services (e.g., speaker-ready rooms, streaming, recording, registration, and staff office) and make sure bandwidth was distributed appropriately. This active network management saved our client money on unnecessary bandwidth.

We recorded 13 sessions in 26 of the rooms plus the plenary, for a total of just under 600 hours of content. Three of our technicians actively performed remote monitoring over the network to control cameras and handle file management of the recordings. Four other technicians provided floating support to all of the rooms. Using a proprietary, AI-driven process, we rapidly edited all recordings. This innovative approach to recording helped us deliver significant cost savings without compromising quality. The event was a huge success.
